Indian women’s team Harmanpreet Kaur is looking for revenge of her own for the loss in T20Is. The Women in Blue defeated England Women by 88 runs in the second ODI on Wednesday to take a 2-0 lead in the 3-match series. It was Harmapreet’s day because everything that happened to him turned into gold. After his impressive 143 not out off 111 deliveries, his decisions while defending a total of 333 runs was remarkable. He and the bowling changes frustrated the hosts and in the end, Amy Jones & Co were bundled out for 245. Renuka Thakur returned figures of 4 for 57 while two heads from Dayalan Hemalatha. Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma took one wicket each.
Some of England’s batsmen showed good form, but it wasn’t enough to get them across the finish line. Danielle Wyatt made a 58-ball 65, while Alice Capsey and captain Jones contributed 39 runs. But his efforts were unsuccessful. The Indian bowling attack stole the show.
The third and final ODI, also the farewell match for Indian veteran Jhulan Goswami, is scheduled to be played at Lord’s on Saturday.

Another bowling change worked for India. Hemlatha changed her length and slowed down. Amy Jones charges to the ground but is hit with a flying kick. The England captain will be absent and the lightning Yastika Bhatia will be left behind the wicket.
